達成と卓越は、なににつけても日々の規律にある。成功というものは、それがどう意味づけされたものであっても、夢にたどり着くため自分が決めたことに日々「闘っていく」ことだ。

欲しいものをつかみ取る、ということ。その過程での屈服は、小さな部分を怠ることから始まる。小さな部分を怠る日々がつづけば、それはいずれ雪崩になる。だからこそ規律というものを、自分から離れないものにすること、クセにすることが大事なんだ。

チャーチルのように、繰りかえし口にしよう。「絶対に屈服しない」。
