奴隷だったハリエット・タブマンは、メリーランドから逃亡して、アメリカ南北戦争にさきがけた奴隷制度廃止運動の主要人物になった。彼女のこの言葉は、救済を積極的に受けようとしなかった奴隷たち、拒絶した奴隷たちを救えなかった彼女のいらだちを語っている。彼らは、身の置かれた現実を分かっていない人々だったのだ。

今はもう、アメリカに奴隷はいない、証文に縛られた年季奉公人という意味では。でもたくさんの人々が、無知や怖さ、自己認識のなさから、不足を受け入れる生活の足かせを自分に許してしまう。より高くのぼること、豊かさの獲得を知らんぷりする人生。

でもあなたはちがう。あなたは高い意識をもっていて、自分を知っている。あなたは不足を拒絶して、豊かさを求める。あなたはより高くのぼるため、卓越、熟達へたどり着くために足を踏みだす。

追い越し車線のなかを、進みつづけよう！

"I freed a thousand slaves, I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves." - Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman was a runaway slave from Maryland, and a key participant in the Abolitionist movement prior to the US Civil War. Her quote refers to her frustration in not being able to help slaves who were unwilling or unable to be helped; who just didn't realize the reality of their situation.

Today, there are no longer slaves (in the US) in the physical sense of indentured servitude, but there are many people who have allowed themselves - through ignorance, fear or lack of self-awareness - to be shackled into a lifestyle that accepts scarcity and lack. A life that ignores their capacity to become more, to achieve abundance.

But not you. You are mindful, you are self-aware. You reject scarcity, and seek abundance. You take the steps to become more, to realize excellence and achieve mastery.

Keep moving in the passing lane!
