吹いてゆく風、沈んでいく太陽、新たに到来する季節。私たちには、これらの道すじを変えることなんてできない。言ってしまえば、世の中には私たちに変えられないことがたくさんある。

でも、自分の姿勢は変えられる。なんらかの状況、現れてくる挑戦での、物事の見方、対応の仕方は変えられる。自分を取り巻く状況を、絶望と見るか好機と見るかは、あなた自身の力によるものだ。

もし、あなたのコップが半分空っぽに見え続けているなら、そろそろ視点を変えるべき時かも知れない。コップは半分満たされているという視点から行動を起こすべき時かも知れない。

You can't change the direction of the wind, or the setting of the sun, or the arrival of a new season. In fact, there's a lot in life you can't change.

But you can change your attitude, you can change the way you look at, or deal with, a specific situation or challenge that shows up in your life. You choose to see circumstances as hopeless or as opportunity; it's in your control.

If you see your glass keeps showing up as half empty, maybe it's time to change your point of view. Maybe it's time to take action from the perspective that it's half full.
